Kuang Si Falls, Laos

It takes 45 minutes by tuk tuk ride to reach the beautiful Kuang Si Falls outside of Luang Prabang in Laos.  The road is narrow, the bridges dubious, the heat oppressive, but the trek is totally worth it. It’s a about a 10-15 minute walk up to the top of the falls, where the water falls down over 200 ft.

The water continues to cascade down, forming pools along the way. My group definitely took advantage of these pools. The water was almost too cold, but we were so hot that we stayed in the pool about an hour! We air-dried on the tuk back into town, singing songs and dancing with the driver of the tuk behind us 🙂

A Day in Hue, Vietnam

That actually rhymes… not hugh, but hway.

We took an overnight train from Hanoi. Instead of arriving at 8 am, we arrived at 10, making us all sweaty and exhausted. Making the most of our time, we were able to walk around, taking in the history of this former capital. Royal houses were open and breezy, Chinese in design. Tombs of the last emperors prior to French colonism, crumbling and cracking, were still very interesting to see.

Check out some of my favorite photos below!
